It is with enormous pleasure that I announce the next president of IARPP - Susanna Federici-Nebbiosi Rome. She was elected at the last meeting of the Board of Directors and begins her term as President-Elect in 2012. Her actual presidential term runs the years 2013 and 2014. This is an inspired choice by the Board. Susi is a psychologist and psychoanalyst with wonderful organizational skills in addition to her clinical and theoretical accomplishments. Of additional importance is that she will be the first IARPP President from outside of North America. We are fulfilling our priority of internationalizing even further our membership organization. I cannot imagine a more fitting way to enter the New Year. Congratulations Susi!

During this, my first year as president, I have been mightily impressed with all the countless expert hours that the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors, Committee, Conference, Colloquia, Webinar Chairs, and Newsletter Editors provide to our organization. IARPP members may only see and benefit from the final products. But, let me underscore the fact that we are most fortunate to have such tireless workers volunteering their time and creative energies. And then there is the efficient and effective office staff. All combined, I believe that such human resources are the reasons why IARPP is thriving.
