The IARPP 10th Anniversary Annual Conference, "The Legacy of Stephen Mitchell: Sustaining Creativity in our Psychoanalytic Work" will be held in New York City from Thursday, March 1 through Sunday, March 4, 2012.

We welcome all interested professionals to submit individual papers and/or panel proposals. Panels should include no more than three papers on a chosen topic. Sessions are scheduled for 90 minutes total: individually submitted papers must be no longer than 25 minutes in presentation to be considered by the selection committee. Panel speakers will each have 15-20 minutes for their presentation. Individual papers that are accepted for presentation may be grouped with other papers in any session. Paper submissions should be no longer than 15 pages, double-spaced, with the font to be no smaller than 12 point, with 1 ¼ inch margins on all four sides, and approximately 3,600 words. The panel presentations should be no longer than 10 pages, double-spaced, with the font to be no smaller than 12 point, with 1 ¼ inch margins on all four sides, and approximately 3,000 words.

*** SUBMISSION PROCESS ***

The deadline for receipt of submissions is Tuesday, August 30, 2011. No names should appear on your submission as reviews are anonymous. You must submit your presentation as an email attachment sent to nilou@km-direct.com. Please be sure to include 2 Educational Objectives, the title of your paper and, if proposing a panel, the title of your panel with a detailed, one paragraph Abstract.

Please submit the following materials:

  1. Call for Papers Cover Sheet (electronic version available at (www.iarpp.net)
  2. One paragraph Abstract and 2 Educational Objectives for your presentation ("At the conclusion of my presentation, the participant will be able to: (describe, explain, illustrate…)" These items should be on the same page and must be typed.)
  3. Brief Curriculum Vitae (no more than 2 pages) and Bio Sketch.
  4. Completed paper with author's name removed.

Due to accreditation application requirements, all of these materials must be submitted in order for your submission to be reviewed. We regret that presentations submitted without all of the above items cannot be considered for review. All submissions will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Authors will be notified of the Committee's decision by Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Acceptance is limited by space availability.
