Our Commitment
At IARPP, we are acutely aware of the importance you place on privacy, and safeguarding your personal information is something we take very seriously. Just as we value our ability to build and maintain meaningful long-term business relationships, we value the trust and security of all visitors to our site.

To that end, we are communicating, in clear, definitive language, exactly how IARPP collects information and the manner in which it may be used.

There are a number of ways you can interact with the IARPP site. You can, for example, request an e-mail-delivered marketing newsletter, inquire about a job opportunity, download press materials, subscribe to receive corporate press releases and financial data, participate in an online survey or questionnaire, or contact our company for additional information. This privacy policy explains, in detail, the personal information that may or may not be collected as you participate in any of these activities.

You should note that the technology that supports the infrastructure of the World Wide Web and is used on Web sites is constantly changing. We want to offer you a state-of-the-art Web experience, so we encourage you to check this page occasionally for any updates to our policy that we may have instituted in order to meet new technological standards.

We want you to use this site with complete confidence. If at any time you have a question about the IARPP privacy policy, please contact us at info@iarpp.org.

Information We Collect
The most basic piece of information we collect is your IP address. This is a numeric address that is assigned to servers and users connected to the Internet. We automatically collect this information from all site visitors.

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, review the types of information people are requesting, determine what types of browsers visitors are using, track user's movements, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. The aggregate data collected is used by IARPP to identify user interests, adjust and improve the content of our Web site, and provide a more valuable experience to our visitors.

E-mail Communications
Currently, if you send in a comment, inquire about a job opportunity, subscribe to receive corporate press releases and financial data, submit an e-mail requesting information from the company, or engage in some other site-initiated e-mail communication, we collect your name and e-mail address. We do this in order to reply to inquiries and accumulate statistics about user demographics, interests, and activities. Use of this data is limited to internal use only at IARPP. This information will not be shared with any third party.

Subject only to legal requirements (see "In Conclusion" below), human resources-related information will not be shared with any third party without your express consent.

Surveys, Questionnaires, Discussion Groups
IARPP may occasionally offer visitors the opportunity to participate in online surveys or questionnaires. We conduct these surveys in order to gather information about the interests and business needs of existing and potential customers. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary, and you may decide whether or not to disclose personal information. The types of information requested may include name, shipping address, zip code, age, profession, place of employment, title, etc. Personal information gathered through these surveys, some of which may offer premiums as an enticement for participation, may be used in two ways: to improve the quality of the products and services we offer to IARPP customers, or for corporate marketing purposes. It will always be very clear, however, what level of information is linked to a specific reward, and you will always be in control of the level of information you choose to share.

It is occasionally necessary to share personal information in order for service providers to perform work on our behalf. For example, an independent service provider might require your name and address information in order to deliver a premium you earned in exchange for completing a questionnaire, or to mail IARPP-related financial information you might have requested. No such third-party company will retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. These service providers are subject to strict confidentiality, limited use, and nondisclosure agreements.

IARPP may use personal information gathered from a survey or questionnaire for its own corporate marketing purposes, and the manner in which it would be used will be clearly noted in the body of the survey or questionnaire. All users will have the opportunity to opt-out of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our site. The opt-out option will appear in the survey or questionnaire. (See "Opt-Out Option" below.)

You should be aware that any personal information you voluntarily post on our site (e.g., in a Discussion Group) could be viewed by any user of the site. Our Terms and Conditions of Use prohibit users from "spamming" other users with unwanted e-mail or other solicitations. However, we cannot guarantee your privacy where you publicly disclose personal information. In addition, we cannot guarantee your privacy on any other site that may be referenced on, or linked to, ours.

Opt-Out Option
Visitors to our site are given the opportunity to "opt-out" of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our site. This option is provided at the point where information is requested.

IARPP does not sell, rent, or loan our e-mail subscriber list to any third parties.

Data Protection and Security
IARPP has implemented extensive precautions to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. We make every effort to provide for the constant integrity and security or our network and systems; however, we cannot guarantee that our protective measures will prevent third-party "hackers" from illegally obtaining this information.

IARPP utilizes the latest 128-bit SSL Security for all Membership and Conference Registration forms, and all other instances where personal information is being submitted electronically. This can be found where the URL address starts with https://www.iarpp.org/.

Personal information that you provide on this site resides on a secure server and is only accessible via password. Records of all site activity, subscription and registration data, and any other personal information of IARPP visitors are kept private and under the control of the system administrator. We ensure security by strictly limiting employee access to, and use of, this information.

If the contents of these directories are ever copied or relocated, they will be transmitted in a secure form. In the unusual event that user data is printed, each copy will be number controlled so that all copies can be collected and destroyed when no longer is use.

Notification of Changes

In Conclusion
It's just not possible to construct a Privacy Policy without some legalese, so here it is!

It is IARPP's policy not to use or share any personal information about visitors in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you with an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. However, we may disclose personal information about visitors, or information regarding your use of this site or Web sites accessible through this site, at our discretion if we believe that it is reasonable to do so. Such instances may include the need to satisfy laws such as the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, regulations, or governmental or legal requests for such information; to disclose information that is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our Acceptable Use Policy or other user policies, to operate the site properly; or to protect other users.

If you are accessing the site from within the European Union, your continued use of the site constitutes your freely given, specific and informed consent to have any personal information you provide to us processed in the United States of America in accordance with this policy.
